This July 4th marks the 240th anniversary of our great nation. In honor of our Declaration of Independence, here are a few different ways in which you can celebrate Freedom in the way that our forefathers intended:
However you choose to celebrate Freedom, have an American Independence Day
- Barbecue – Whether you're grilling, smoking or slow cooking, nothing says Freedom like cooking meat outdoors.
- Light fireworks – A great way to recreate Francis Scott Key's Star-Spangled Banner. The louder and brighter the better. (Be sure to keep all your fingers though – safety first).
- Eat Pie – Apple, cherry, chocolate, berry. All pies are good pies for celebrating Freedom.
- Hang out with friends and family – That's what it's all about
- Hiking – Getting out and exploring our great nation is a great way to exercise your Freedom
- Backyard sporting events – Ladder golf, lawn darts, bean bag toss, frisbee. Friendly competition is part of the American Dream.
- Jump into a body of water – Pools, beaches, lakes, rivers and streams. There are few things more American than a cool dip in the water on a hot July day.
- Wear Red, White and Blue – wearing any form of the Stars & Stripes is perfect for expressing your Freedom.
